- Personal Info

~Name: Kat/Lady Rose/Katana/Elf/Kat-chan
~Height: 5' 7 1/2"
~Weight: Somewhere between 136 and 142; I haven't checked recently. Lucky for me I'm tall.
~Birthday: The 23rd day of the second month of the Year of the Dragon.
~Birthplace: Westminster Hospital on the settlement date of our old house.
~Current Location: Working in good ol' Emmitsburg.
~Zodiac Sign: Pisces (hence my Otakon costume)
~Chinese Zodiac Sign: Dragon (how appropriate!)
~Righty or Lefty: Right-handed, but I write and draw like a lefty.
~Haircolor: Brown. I've heard it described as "autumn brown" before, but to me it's just...brown. With some natural blond highlights in the summer.
~Eyecolor: Blue rimmed with gold.
~Skin Color: Right now it's kinda tan since I went to the beach...but I'm just a general Caucasian. I actually like light-colored skin; tan isn't a good look for me.

-About You

~What's Your Family Situation: I've moved out, but they all seem to be doing well. No divorces or anything like that. My parents are firm believers in "Till death do us part," and since Mom hasn't killed Dad yet, I think we're good. *grin*
~Any Pets: I personally own a cat, Neko. My parents own a cat named Squirrel and a golden lab named Sierra while my youngest brother owns a fish called Goldie and a parakeet called Sweet Pea (although I personally think she should be renamed "The Demanding Feathered Bitch"
~Favorite Relative: *shrugs* How on earth could I pick? I've got very few blood relatives but lots of "aunts" and "uncles" who are friends of the family. They all have unique qualities.
~Least Favorite Relative: Again, *shrug* There are no family feuds as far as I know.
~What's Your Heritage/Race: Half German, half English, all American. I've got English and German from both Mom and Dad, but I generally think of my mom's side as the English and my dad's side as the German.
~Political Affiliation: "I think the idea of separating ourselves politically is rather silly; we are going for a UNITED states, right?" Well said, Ellie. I agree. I suppose that my views are more on the conservative side, but I am actually the most liberal of my family. Basically, I try to take each issue as it comes and decide based on my personal values and knowledge, not on a label.

-Your Friends

~Best: I dislike using labels, so I'll say that "best" means the ones I can tell anything to and be comfortable with it, which would be Lauren and David, closely followed by Ellie, Kat S., and Karen.
~How Many Do You Have?: A lot. Green Swordians, Exiles, Pens in Space, Guacamolians, and Online (and many of these overlap!)
~Love Them All?: I like being around different ones at different times. It is rare that all of my friends like each other; there tend to be a few feuds or personality conflicts.
~Any You Wish You Were Closer To?: I've drifted a lot away from Sarah...we are so different now...And sometimes I wish I still trusted Jimmy as much as I used to, but I don't anymore.
~Oldest?: Gods, I think that would be either Chris or Ringman, not sure which, though.
~Newest?: Hmmm...Probably all of the Exiles, except Morgan, plus my online friends. I didn't make any friends at Mount Saint Mary's, at least, none beyond acquiantence level.
~Pen Pal?: I am horrible at remembering to write letters, but I guess my online friends count.

-This Or That

~Shorts or Pants?: Depends on the weather, but I like either.
~Shoes or Barefeet?: Bare feet, sandles, or boots, again depending on the weather, but I do like bare feet the most.
~Books or Movies?: Wow, that's hard to choose, cause I love both. However, I think books might win by a slight margin. Very slight.
~Night or Day?: I like evening because it's not fully dark, but I guess overall I like daytime because light signifies getting things done for me. I sleep at night (unlike half of the people my age...)
~Dark or Light?: I prefer light, but I don't mind low lighting or dark if there are candles or strong moonlight. Absolute darkness scares me.
~Mountains or Beach?: I love the beach, but I like living within sight of the mountains.
~Snow or Sun?: Sun! I hate being cold.
~Pepsi or Coke?: I don't really like either, but I've had Pepsi more often.
~Swim or Surf?: Swim. I'm way too uncoordinated and cowardly to ever manage surfing. I hate having waves crest on top of me, nearly drowned a couple of times when that happened.

-For Or Against

~Gay Marriage?: I abstain. Since I'm not a homosexual, I don't see how this question could pertain to me. Like I said, I am the most liberal in my family.
~Abortion?: I think that women should have to right to choose an abortion, but only in certain circumstances like rape. It should NOT be a form of birth control.
~Bush Getting Re-elected?: Since he can't get re-elected, this question is pointless.
~Suicide?: I think it's a very sad thing and we should try to help people chose life over death, but in the end, that is their choice. As long as they don't go on a spree killing other people so they "don't have to go alone," then it's up to them. And most of my People have traditions that support committing suicide when their mate dies.
~War?: Sometimes I believe it is necessary, but it should only be a last resort and if you are going to fight, grind your enemy into dust as swiftly and efficiently as possible. You cannot have a war without killing people or completely avoiding civilian casualties.
~Pants?: Yes, I support the wearing of pants, be they long or short.
~Clothes In General?: I do NOT want to see people walking around naked! If you want to do that in the privacy of your home or in select (and well-marked) areas, then fine. But I am keeping my clothes on!

-Favorites

~Color: Dark colors like violet, blue, green, and black.
~Number?: Ones associated with magic like 3, 5, 7, and 9. And I randomly like the number 12, which is why it's part of my dA name.
~Holiday?: Halloween because you get to dress up and Christmas because of presents.
~Season?: I guess spring, but I like late spring, early summer the best. Early fall can be nice as well.
~Movie?: Gods, I have so many...Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Seahawk, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and FFVII: Advent Children are my top five, I guess. It's so hard to choose because I love so many for different reasons and watch them in different moods.
~Book?: Again, how can I choose? I love anything by Mercedes Lackey, and I also like Elizabeth Haydon, R.A. Salvatore, and Barbara Hambly. I focus almost exclusively on fantasy and sci-fi.
~Magazine?: AnimeInsider and Writer's Digest. I've subscribed to the latter. I used to hoard Cricket and Reader's Digest when I was young, but they have fallen by the way-side.
~Food?: Pizza, Chinese food, sea food, bread, corn, mashed or fried potatoes, chedder cheese, most fruits, and sweets.
~Drink?: Ice tea, hot chocolate. I will drink various juices, milk, and water when it suits me.
~TV Show?: *laughs* Ah, too many! All the anime that I've seen (which is about 20+ series so far), Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Avatar, Stargate SG 1, MacGyver, X-Files, Happy Days, and now Transformers.
~Song?: "Against the Grain" fits me the most, but Nightwish's "While Your Lips Are Still Red" and "Eva" have been stuck in my head all day.
~Band?: Hah, I have a lot. I like a lot of foreign bands, particularly if they are Finnish or Japanese. Nightwish, HIM, The Rasmus, Gackt, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Yuki Kajiura are the ones I listen to the most.
~Computer Game?: Diablo II.
~Video Game?: Knights of the Old Republic, Castlevania, and FF7: Dirge of Cerberus.
~Anime/Manga?: I have yet to see an anime that I did not like. I have seen 20+ anime and read about 10 manga series, and liked all of them so far. I think my current favs are "The Twelve Kingdoms" and "Samurai Champloo."
~Shirt?: "I'm off in my own little world. But that's ok; they know me here." I think that is so me. There are sooo many t-shirts that I like...
~Actor?: Tough question, since I tend to pay more attention to the characters than the actors. I suppose Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone, Lawrence Olivier, Alec Guinness, Harrison Ford, Tom Selleck, Alan Rickman, Hugo Weaving, and Keanu Reeves are the ones I've seen in the most movies and have consistenly enjoyed their performance. My favorite male voice actor is Crispin Freeman.
~Actress?: Wow, I pay even less attention to the names of actresses...Olivia de Havilland, Angelina Jolie...I am pulling blanks. Yes, there are others, but I can't even pull out a character or a movie to start with. I always have to look them up later if I like their performance.
~Singer?: Both female leads for Nightwish, Josh Groban, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kelly Clarkson, Enya, Madonna...A bunch more. I generally go by "Do I like the song or not?"
~Flower?: Roses, violets, buttercups, wisteria, lilies.
~Scent?: Most flowers, incense (especially sandlewood and mulberry) rain, fresh-cut grass, fresh bread, good food cooking, the ocean, the pool, and sometimes gasoline.
~Animal?: Dragons, unicorns, horses, wolves, hawks, dolphins, cats. I tend to like most animals, but insects I am NOT fond of.
~Cookie?: Mom's home-made chocolate chip. NOTHING can beat those, or her high-diddles.

-About Future

~Want To Go To College?: Do I want to go to college? No. Do I have to? Yes. Am I in college? Yes.
~What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?: A rich novelist and a movie script editor.
~Want To Get Married?: Unless I can find Michael, no. I don't think I'd make a good wife. Too selfish.
~Want To Have Kids?: Doubtful. Sometimes I think that I would, but overall, I don't think I'd make a good mother cause I'd either be too lax or too strict. If I do have kids though, I sure have the hips for it.
~What Would Their Names Be?: Well, hypothetically, for a boy I would like Tobias, Michael, Anthony, or Damien. For girls, I like Eleanor, Sylvia, Samantha, Rose, or other flower or stone names. I like names that have meanings behind them, so I wouldn't chose them lightly.
~How Many?: I think, if I had kids, I would like to have twins, a boy and a girl. Certainly no more than four! (Again, all hypothetical.)
~Where Do You Want To Live?: I don't know...I don't like moving much and once I put down roots, it's hard for me to let go. I want somewhere close enough to work that I don't have to commute too far, and yet I like my solitude. Somewhere with water and trees. Best case scenario is me buying an island somewhere near the tropics so it stays warm most of the year and I can have forests, mountains, and beachs all at once!
~Where Do You Want To Get Married?: Assuming I did, I'd like it near water and trees, or on a beach. Something small and not expensive. Hell, I'd pick up my wedding gown from one of the thrift shops in town!
~How Do You Want To Die?: I'd like to try quick and painless after a long and fullfilling life, but sometimes I feel like I'd rather die young before I have to age and watch my friends and family die.

-More Stuff About You

~Piercing?: No, although Morgan might talk me into getting my ears pierced. She's coming with me though so I can break her hand when they poke holes in my ears.
~Tattoos?: No thanks.
~Smoke?: Not me, but I don't mind the smell of pipe smoke.
~Drink?: I get tipsy off communion wine. Drinking is not a good idea.
~Do Drugs?: NO. The only drugs I take are two iboprofen once a month. That is it.
~Skinny Dip?: I'm too much of a prude.
~Greatest Fear?: Amnesia, dying before my stories are done, sex.
~Go To Church?: I used to, but not much anymore.
~Religion?: Technically I'm Lutheran, and I still consider myself a Christian, but I have bits and pieces of other reliions and philosphies mixed in with a healthy dose of agnosticism, so I guess "enlightened pagan" is the best term.
~Scars?: Mostly on my arms from scratching at blemishes from boredom or nerves. It's weird, like I can't stand imperfections on my skin, but by trying to get rid of them I make them worse. *shakes head* They might go away in a few years, but who knows.
~CDs Owned?: Maybe 20? I'm not sure, most of my music is on my computer, so an iPod or some other portable media player would be better for me.
~Collections?: Books, anime/manga, My Little Ponies, dinosaurs, unicorn and dragon statues, candles, paper...I have a lot of random collections. A regular packrat.
~Ever Eaten Sushi?: Yeah, and it gave me diarrhea in the middle of the mall. Not a fun experience.
~An Entire Case Of Oreos?: I don't like Oreos THAT much.
~Been On Stage?: Twice in middle school for the talent show and a chorus play (I played a nun) and once for my dance class. I'm not good at acting.
~Danced In The Rain?: Once, maybe. I don't like getting wet unless I'm in a swimsuit or if the rain is a light, warm mist.
~Kissed Someone Of The Same Sex?: No.
~Weirdest Dream?: Ah, not sure, but most of them are pretty weird...in one my dad got turned into a little red question mark made of smoke and in another I got bitten in half by a three-headed dragon in my basement. If you want the full recounting as well as other dreams, just ask me.
~Saddest Dream?: Not sure...most have some sad elements, but none that were just plain sad.
~Dream You Most Wish Would Come True?: Sanctuary. I want to go home. Oh, and being mobbed by hot anime guys wouldn't hurt either. *grin*
~Think You're Attractive?: Not really. I think in some situations I can look pretty with liberal use of makeup and a nice costume, but overall, I'm just ok. Not really ugly, but not pretty either.
~Shoplifted?: I used to snitch candy from the open candy jars in the store or a grape from the salad bar, but that's it.
~Been Caught "Doing Something"?: What, something I wasn't supposed to be doing? Of course, all kids do. Mostly it was when I was getting candy out of the cuboards when it wasn't time to eat.
~Weirdest Makeout Place?: How the hell should I know? Although kissing inside a church freaks me out (unless it's a wedding of course.)
~Like Thunderstorms?: Yes! As long as the power doesn't go out, I love them! The sheer power and intensity of them makes me shiver.
~Favorite Shoes?: My sandles, my "nurse shoes," my Renaissance boots, and my black leather boots.
~Favorite Quote?: Hah, just about everything my Dad says that's funny. There are so many for different occassions... I do like "Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality" and "I also believe in laughter and I know that the world is mad."
~Best Advice Given?: "You are the power and authority in your world" and "Lead, follow, or get out of my flight-path."
~Favorite Song Lyric?: That varies from day to day, but I guess the ones that helped me the most were "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World and "You Are Loved" by Josh Groban. I can't quote them because those entire songs are one big inspiration.
~What Quote Says Most About Your Life?: "The world doesn't believe I'm against every odd. I ask myself, if only, if I could reach a little farther, if I could breathe one more moment, if I hold on a little longer, I will do whatever it takes against the grain." - Nirvana Singh, "Against the Grain."
~Glad This Is Over?: I suppose.

*swoons* I love Against the Grain.... best song in the universe... and I love David so much for ripping it for us.

Ojeez now you've got me thinking.... *scratches head* where is that "flight-path" quote FROM? I love that quote, I say it all the time, I even have Starscream saying it once in Deserters! Yet I don't know where it's from... >< *is frustrated*

Hahahaa, I like the mobbed-by-hot-anime-guys dream. XD That was probably my favorite dream before Jeevies... along with the powers-of-flight dream... don't you wish you could fly? *flaps arms like wings* :D

Eeeeee, good luck getting your ears pierced! (it doesn't hurt too bad... until about 10 minutes later... and then about half an hour after that you'll be fine. While I've got a moderately high tolerance for pain, I've got NO tolerance for needles... and it's not so bad. ;))

We, who demand to be heard, will tolerate no such cry as "Peace! peace!" where there is no peace.
:iconstarsister12:
The flight-path quote is one of Kemen's, a dragon from "Elvenblood" I believe by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey. And yes, I do want to fly.

I know, I love that song sooooo much...Send david some hugs for me!
