As of yesterday, November 30, I have been on Deviantart for 3 years. Wow, time flies when you're having fun!

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone on dA who has been so supportive and helpful, from my Watchers to the people I Watch to all the Deviants kind enough to stop by and read, comment, and/or fav my work. You don't know how much dA has come to mean to me. It's been a creative haven in times of great mental and financial strain. Thank you all so much.

It also gives me (and your inboxes) great pleasure to announce that the Great Poetic Flood is over. I may still upload poems sporatically when they come to me, but the massive wave is complete. Feel free to read and comment as you choose.

EDIT on November 10th:

:iconendling: has to have major surgery this month and in in dire financial straits. Lots of artists are chipping in with commissions, donations, or just spreading the word to try to help. Please, if you could spread the word along or see if there is anything you can do to help, please do so. Read more info at his journal at: [link]

 and :iconcheckered-fadora: have other information about comissions, contests, etc.

Thanks, everyone! Pass the word and support our fellow artists!

EDIT on November 4th:

:iconzoestead: got laid off from her job and will have to find a new one, hopefully before her current job ends in December. Now, since she's in Britain it'll be a little hard for those of us in the U.S. to find her a new job, but if there is any international or online work you can find, please note her at [link] You can also read her journal "It's Official" [link] for further information. Pass this message on to anyone you think might be able to help or could pass it on to a more prominant position.

Zoe's book "The Amulet of Vichalace" is available on both the British and U.S. Amazon sites. Check it out! Support fledgling authors!

hey sweet, 2 dA birthdays in one week! :D Congrats, Kat! *hug*

well, the Great Poetic Flood has been a daunting thing to watch build up in my inbox... so now it's time to read them all! :D hehe.

We, who demand to be heard, will tolerate no such cry as "Peace! peace!" where there is no peace.

^_^;; I know...sorry about the huge buildup. At least I didn't post up ALL of my poems...just the ones I thought were dA worthy.

Thanks for the congrats!

Yes, the flood is a bit scary. I had a total of 300 deviations in my inbox yesterday, and according to list-by-author view, you and Ellie were the worst offenders. :-P

Anyway, as you could see, I've managed to chop the deviations down a bit. To 275. Yay. (What's depressing is that I had them down to 288 last weekend -- again from 300 -- and during my first week of school, they grew right back up to 300! But that's Ellie's fault, mostly.)

Anyway, wow, 3 years? I had no idea that you'd been on deviantART for so long. You've been on here almost as long as you've known me (which, actually, is ALSO a surprisingly long time). Teh gasp.

Do you have prints for sale on deviantART?
If so, you might want to read this: [link]

Yes, I do apologize for that. I just have so many poems and I like feedback. I did try to keep the number I posted each day down, but if you aren't a fanatic like me who gets on for hours each day, then even that mounts up. ^_^;;

Yeppers, 3 years! (The only way I know that is because dA tels you when you first joined.) I forget who got me ONTO dA though...I mean, Lauren got me onto Myspace (and Facebook, I think) so I'm trying to think who's art I wanted to see that made me want to join dA...probably Ellie. *grin*
